Chapter 1
CHAPTER 1
And so, the confusion and turmoil of yesterday's events end as the sun sinks beneath the horizon, leaving the world silent as brilliant stars glimmer and twinkle in the night sky.
However, this only signals the beginning of a new chapter as the game starts in earnest. As the day begins anew, there are a couple of noticeable changes in the area for those who care to venture beyond their bedrooms. First off is the new additions to the second-floor loungeβwhat was once bare wall is now adorned with large, grandiose paintings of... well, all of you. Much like an art museum, underneath each portrait is a small plate that features some information about the subject, although some of it may or may not include some not-so-innocuous tidbits about your fellow guests.
The second change, thankfully, is far less invasive. Butterfly-winged fairies now flit around out in the open, and while there aren't that many flying around, there's enough of them that they're not too hard to catch sight of as they go about their business. The storekeeper fairy has also made their appearance in the General Store, so guests are free to make all the special orders they want, provided they can afford it.
The weather is pleasant as the sun shines down on them from the blue skies, with only the occasional puffy cumulus cloud drifting about lazily. It's calm, but you know what they say about that and storms. So, how will you start this story?
[[Welcome to Week 1! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. The shop is now open for business, so you can start submitting threads for either items or regains. You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure!
In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for each week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, you may also submit murder proposals for later weeks!]]

[ c-ta can't help but look a bit embarrassed over seeing that large portrait of himself. forget things like class photos, this is like being thrown into the middle of class in your underwear!
ugh.
but as he reads the information, he can't help but raise a brow. ]
Acting? I've never done theater.
2. cinderella re-enactment- ballroom (ooc: this can act as ic planning thread and also as a gen thread)
[ so much much for not knowing about acting. of course c-ta wasn't going to not go, considering his own curiosity, but the idea that he would have to do some sort of amateur film re-enactment of cinderella? this guy's humor only gets worse and worse.
he will, however, pick up a camera, inspecting it. ]
What does this even have to do with our wish? Is he just making fun of us now?
3. palace kitchens
[ in the evening, c-ta will be seen in the kitchen. sure, the food given is good, but he does feel a little homesick, and is hoping to remedy that with some food.
and what is he making? hamburger steak.
if he sees your character walking in, he'll instinctively look up, and give a small smile. ] Do you want some? I accidentally made for two people instead of one.
portraits
[ Tenn also has acting on his profile. He finds C-ta's reaction to his own addition a little strange, but he decides not to dwell on that too much. ]
Who's "the Fox"?
1/2
Huh, I guess so. I guess that Host-san must be--
[ wait. what did he say? ]
no subject
c-ta stares down at those "dislikes", and he has to force himself from glaring a hole into them. ]
It's a stupid thing from a stupid game we played. It...shouldn't matter anymore.
no subject
I see.
[ He'll leave it at that, for now. ]
Anyway, what was it that you were going to say about our host?

[ Giving a glance over the kitchen to see if he spots any spices around. ]

[ he flips the beef patty as he says that, watching the other curiously. ]
My friend's mom would make this for us all the time... I was just trying to copy the recipe, but I'm not sure if it's all that great. [ he chuckles, then raises an eyebrow ] Are you gonna cook something?
Sorry I thought I slammed into this already
[ He likes food that can melt people's faces with the amount of peppers and spice in it.
He can tell the other may be feeling home sick. There is a pause as he thinks of a certain soup his Shijie would make for him. ]
I might not be able to tell you if it tastes the same, but I don't mind being a taste tester. It does look pretty good.
it's fine because apparently i ALSO didn't press enter :|
2
[Hey, no judgment if you are, sometimes you have to kill to reach your wish. It happens]
no subject
[ ugh. ]
But I wish that wasn't the only option. Jeez, couldn't we have had a video game competition or something?
no subject
[Hey, if you somehow convince him to turn the murder into something simple she sure won't be unhappy about that!]

I'm fine, thank you. [ Another moment or so, then: ] You trust these facilities enough to be able to make your food?
[ More so because someone may have tampered with it, rather than the place as a whole being outright suspicious. ]
no subject
[ he actually has to blink a couple times to take in morgan's form but...he'll get used to it. he gives her a sheepish smile, shrugging. ]
I don't really have much of an option, unfortunately. I gotta eat at some point, no?
no subject
[ She barely notices his surprise. ]
It's smarter than eating anything more that they offer, at the very least.

The plot of this place. Sometimes events will happen, that have to happen, even if they are nonsensical. At least - that's how it worked in my world.

Perhaps it is speaking more metaphorically?
no subject
I'm really not sure what sort of metaphor it's trying to say, then. Any suggestions?
2
Seriously?
[ He looks over C-ta's shoulder at the strange device (Norton's never seen a 21st century camera before, okay?). ] First he talks about everything like it's some kinda story, now he wants us to act them out?
no subject
[ he SIGHS. ]
But part of me is thinking that he's just looking for ways to entertain himself. At our expense, of course.
